The Anastasio Project is back with new performers and fresh stories and poetry! The Anastasio Project is a multidisciplinary public performance work that investigates racial profiling and state brutality in the streets of Oakland and at the US-Mexico border, using the story of Anastasio Hernandez-Rojas as a point of departure.
Created by NAKA Dance Theater's Jose Navarrete and Debby Kajiyama in collaboration with Susanne Takehara/EastSide Arts Alliance. Featuring KEV, Da’Juan Carter-Woodard, Simone Nalls, Patricia Barajas, José Navarrete, Guisela Mishel Ramos, Tane Madrigal, & Hector Torres.
