We arrived at Los Volcanes, Rosarito around 10 am. The site was at the top of hill, and the big bus couldn’t go up the unpaved and narrow road. The National Guard, National Commission for Human Rights, National Commission for Searching and the crime scene team drove up the hill in pickup trucks. Most of the families and volunteers walked up the hill. At the top, A man in his 30s, was indicating a cliff used as a garbage dumpster. He said the remains of his brother might be there. He is looking for his second brother; he has already found the remains of his first brother. We did the rastreo, and the leader of Una Nacion Buscando T, Angelica, requested an excavator machine to continue the searching. She was going back and forth with the authorities, but the machine did not arrive at the site. Nevertheless, the Brigada did a rastreo from the top of the hill down to the closest creek, about 200 feet in length. We were looking for a black plastic bag. The brother said that some acquaintances saw that plastic bag and that some dogs were dragging around some human parts. I guess the case was a recent one because the body was in the process of decomposition, which created particular smells. A dog was brought to the scene to help with the search. After waiting for two hours, the people in charge decided to go to another site, and wait until next day to bring in the excavator. We are planning to go back tomorrow before we travel to Mexicali City for a few days.

We got back to Tijuana around 7 pm. After taking a shower and having dinner with some members, a deep conversation came up at the table about the idea of passing the pain of disappearance to their children. Most of them felt that they want to end the pain with them. But for sure all of us agreed that if someone present at the table were to disappear: Angelica, Yadira, Miguel, Simon, Pedro, Miguel, Lupita, Julio, that for sure we would be searching for them. Hasta encontrarnos!!

En Los volcanes, Rosarito, llegamos como a las 10 de la mañana, subimos a una montaña, la montaña estaba muy inclinada y el camino muy estrecho sin pavimentación el autobús grande de las familias no podia subir estacionamos a medio camino del monte y caminamos hasta la cima de la montaña. Camionetas de la Guardia Nacional, la Comisión de Nacional de Derechos Humanos, la Comisión Nacional de Busqueda y el equipo de la escena del crimen subieron a la colina con sus camionetas. Cuando llegamos a la parte superior, un hombre de unos 30 años, indicaba un acantilado que se usa como basurero y que por ahi podrían estar los restos de su hermano, está buscando a su segundo hermano, el primero, ya lo encontró. Hicimos el rastreo, y la líder de Una Nación buscando T, Angélica, estaba solicitando una máquina excavadora para continuar la búsqueda, yendo y viniendo con las autoridades municipales, la máquina no llego al sitio. Sin embargo, la brigada hizo un rastreo en el área desde la cima de la colina hasta el arroyo mas cercano, a unos 200 pies. Buscábamos una bolsa de plástico negra. El hermano dijo que unos conocidos vieron esa bolsa de plástico que arrastraban unos perros con algunas partes humanas. Supongo que el caso fue reciente porque el cuerpo estaba en proceso de descomposición creando olores, también se trajo a un perro al lugar para ayudar con los búsqueda. Luego de dos horas de espera, los lideres de las brigadas decidieron ir a otro sitio, y esperar hasta el día siguiente para traer la excavadora. Planeamos regresar mañana antes salir a la ciudad de Mexicali por unos días allá.

Regresamos a Tijuana alrededor de las 7 pm. Después de tomar una ducha y cenar con algunos miembros la platica en la mesa fue muy profunda, sobre la idea de pasar el dolor de la desaparición a sus hijos, la mayoría quieren acabar con el dolor con ellos mismos. Pero ahi todos coincidimos en que si alguno de nosotros presente desaparece: Angélica, Yadira, Miguel, Simón, Pedro, Miguel, Lupita, Julio, seguro que nos estaremos buscando. Hasta encontrarnos!!

ブリガーダ・デ・ブスケダ5日目

私たちは10時ごろにロサリトのロス・ボルカネスに到着した。目的地は丘の上で、大きなバスでは舗装されていない細い道を通ることができなかった。国家警備隊、国家人権委員会、国家捜索委員会と犯罪現場チームは小型トラックで丘を登った。多くの被害者家族やボランティアたちは、丘の上まで歩いて行った。頂上に着くと、30代ぐらいの男性がゴミ置き場として使われている丘の斜面を示し、そこに彼の兄弟の遺体があるかもしれないと言った。すでに兄弟のうち一人の遺体は見つかり、今は二人目を探しているところだという。私たちは捜索を始めた。Una Nacion Buscando Tのリーダーであるアンヘリカは、作業を続けるために掘削機を要請した。彼女はあらゆる責任者の間を行ったり来たりして掛け合ったが、掘削機は届かなかった。しかし、それでもブリガーダは丘の頂上から一番近い小川までの200フィート（約60メートル）を捜索することができた。探していたのは黒いビニール袋。遺族の男性によると、彼の知り合いたちが不審なビニール袋と、数匹の犬が人間の遺体の一部を引きずり回していたのを見たそうだ。腐敗し始めた遺体は特有の臭いを放つため、この事件は最近のことであったのだろう。捜索の援助のため、犬が連れてこられた。２時間待った後、リーダーたちは別の場所に移動することに決め、次の日に掘削機を搬入することにした。明日、メヒカリに数日間行く前に、もう一度この場所に戻る予定である。

夜7時ごろにティファナに戻った。シャワーを浴び、メンバーと夕食をとった後、失踪事件の苦しみを子供にどう伝えるかについての深い話し合いになった。ほとんどの人は、自分の世代でこの悲しみに幕を閉じたいと考えていた。しかし、このテーブルにいる誰かが突然行方不明になったとしたら——アンヘリカ、ヤディラ、ミゲル、シモン、ペドロ、ミゲル、ルピタ、フリオ——残された私たちは彼らを探すと約束した。
